The 4th Romero Zombie Film Has A Name: DEAD RECKONING!!!
Harry here with an update, this has been confirmed. The script started life under the title of DEAD CITY, but has since become DEAD RECKONING. It is unknown if this will be Romero's next project as he is reportedly in talks with Paramount on another, as of yet, unknown project. But the following is all quite accurate...
Harry here... I'm going to be looking into this immediately to see what else I can find out. However, I imagine this is accurate, over a month or so back I heard that Romero had completed the script, and we've known for sometime now that Anchor Bay was going to be financing the film... I'm just hoping that they'll be able to shoot on film and fully finance the film to be made up to the standards of gore and quality that say Dawn or Day were made. All I know I can't wait to see this get made. Last we heard Romero was actually talking to Tom Savini about working together... let's hope that has continued. Here's the report...
Hi Harry,
I just saw this bit posted on GoreZone.Net. Have you heard any info to confirm this?
"
** George A. Romero's fourth Living Dead film!!: After the Fango show, Micheal from Anchor Bay told me all about the fourth dead film, Anchor Bay is producing it. The movie is called DEAD RECKONING and takes place 30 years after NOTLD. The story goes something like this, the dead have taken over the world and humans only survive in large gated communities, the story is about one community and the fact they they get to comfortable with their safety inside the community. The script was finished at one point but afer 9/11 Romero decided to rewrite it a bit to reflect his own feelings after the event."
On Romero's official site, there's mention that Romero has a script done for Dead 4, and there's a link to an interview with Romero that talks a bit about it.

I'm very curious about what you may have heard about this, since you've got the connections.
Thanks,
jace
