ER 9.3 FAQ
Jing-Mei hits the mosh pit and Abby's sib turns up. You’re going to miss this?
What’s it called?
“Insurrection.”
What does TV Guide say?
Carter takes drastic steps to improve security conditions at County
after a
frustrated patient takes matters into his own hands---violently;
Meanwhile,
Gallant tends to a hypochondriac who refuses to leave any symptom
unchecked;
Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) is keeping a secret about his home situation; and
Kovac
has an unhappy ex-lover to contend with.
The big news?
Carter leads an "insurrection" in the ER after an agitated drug seeking
psych patient manages to pull a gun on Dr. Chen. The good Dr. Carter
starts
a walk out after demanding more security from hospital administration.
What is TV Guide not telling us?
Nearly all of the ER regulars join Carter in insurrection, except for
Dr.
Lewis who sides with the patients. "Newsflash," she says, "The health
system sucks. Our job is to treat patients in spite of it"
Any steamy Carter/Abby interaction this week?
No, but Abby's brother Eric (Tom Everett Scott) pops in. It's the
first
episode in an arc that will later include the return of Sally Field as
their
mother.
So Carter is "King of the ER" this week? Who wins the showdown?
It's a draw. Weaver promises extra security and metal detectors, but
forces
Carter to offset the cost by laying off several nurses.
A gun to Dr. Chen? Is she hurt?
Hardly. After the patient is subdued, Chen spends some quality time
with
Pratt-- they're the next Doc Super Couple you know. The episode ends
with
Chen and the girls (Abby and Susan) partying hard. Fade out on Deb
stage
diving into a mosh pit.
