First Warners Sends CAPTAIN BLOOD Into Space, Now They're Kicking Robin Hood Into The Future!!

Merrick here...
Last week we learned of Warner Bros' intent to set their CAPTAIN BLOOD remake in space (details HERE). Now comes word that the studio is angling towards an untitled Robin Hood project set in the future, directed by Nicolai Fuglsig and scripted by Jason Hall.

Few plot details have been revealed about the new Robin Hood, but it will be set in a dystopian London and center on a band of thieves whose activities restore hope to the city’s embattled population. Producers describe it as "a futuristic action adventure” that will be "both inspired by and pay homage to the legend of Robin Hood."

...reveals THR's Risky Business Blog HERE. You may've seen some of Fuglsig's commercial work:

The announcement of Fuglsig's project while Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe are generating their interpretation of the legend recalls 1991's duel between ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES (also a Warners project) and Fox's ROBIN HOOD. PRINCE OF THIEVES (HERE) made it to theaters starring Kevin Costner, while the Fox project (HERE) ended up as a TV movie starring Patrick Bergin - who looked a little like Freddy Mercury playing Robin.
