If CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0” pilot goes to series, one regular character on the show will be Mary Ann McGarrett, younger sister of Five-0 chief Steve McGarrett, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Taryn Manning (“8 Mile,” “Sons of Anarchy”) plays the character, who was not a regular on the 1968-1980 original series. Will she be kidnapped? A detective?

Manning joins Alex O'Loughlin (“Three Rivers”), who plays big bro Steve, and Daniel Dae Kim (“Lost”), who plays Chin Ho Kelly.

The series, which like the CBS original will follow a fictional Hawaiian police agency, is overseen by writer-producers Peter Lenkov (“CSI: NY”) and Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman (co-creators of “Fringe” and writers of last year’s “Star Trek” movie).
