Irish/Polish/Vietnamese-American Margaret Denise Quigley (aka Maggie Q) is in talks to play the title role in The CW’s pilot for a reboot of “La Femme Nikita,” based on Luc Besson’s 1990 secret-agent thriller.

The project, from McG (“Charlie’s Angels,” “Terminator Salvation”) and writer-producer Craig Silverstein (creator of Fox's perfectly awful Ron Livingston hostage-negotiator dramedy "Standoff"), will have nothing to do with the series that ran on USA from 1997 to 2001. In the CW’s pilot, Nikita is on the run from an assassin trained by the same agency that trained her.

Q’s prior credits include “Rush Hour 2,” “Around The World In 80 Days,” “Mission: Impossible III,” “Live Free Or Die Hard,” “Balls of Fury” and “Deception.”
