Shang chi should have won. Still, Nightwing is a strategic genius so it makes sense that he would eventually beat him with his brains. Ooooooh brains! Whatever, Shang chi is like the fuckin Bruce Lee of comic books!

not just so the FC debate can start (which should be hilarious) - but how do you comment on that last Astonishing X-men? Coz you know that bit? You know - that big double-page spread bit? I mean - fuck. FUCK! (Staying spoiler-free here - but FUCK!) I don't ever remember seeing something so smart and so dramatic in a comic before. All in one picture! (Except maybe that old Grant Morrison JLA double-spread where Batman punches out Prometheus while shouting "STEPHEN HAWKINS!!!" That's possible the funniest thing I've ever seen).

However, at the end of it all I feel pretty disappointed with Joss's entire run. The entire arc started off great, but slowly meandered towards irrelevance- a collection of great dialog and character moments which were all tied together to form a saga that was totally dispensable. However, yes that one splash page was great, as was "I did it! I... hey wait a sec...".
