it was just announced that he was getting the mark twain award in november....what is going on with that show...and usually, the prez and first lady show up to that...and watching bush, watch carlin get an award wouldve made me soooo happy...now it is bittersweet....and why a marathon?? why not run each special each nite?

he was getting an award. When he was told he was receiving the mark twain award he said "sounds great, have his people contact my people".

To answer your question, the Kennedy Awards ceremony will go on as scheduled. It will award George posthumously and will be a tribute to his life and work.
