I love my 22-page monthly comic book fix as much as a junkie loves his dimebag. But this addiction is slowly killing the industry. Congrats to Fawkes and Stewart for leaving behind the shackles of the periodical pamphlet format and actually taking the time it takes to tell a story. Series of graphic novels is indeed an interesting way the industry could go. Kind of like the European albums. As long as they don't all start going hardcovers and jack up the prices, I'm all for it.

...and never got an answer: How do they handle the situation when you have hundreds of costumed people running around with very realistic looking firearms in some cases? Are these things inspected? It seems like a nightmare scenario waiting to happen.

Clever name -- interesting idea for a column. Green Lantern Corps. #27: Wow -- really beautiful artwork!; a great example of how graphic artwork can be detailed, but not overworked. Also, this issue looks like an intriguing story -- I'll have to pick this one up. Thanks for the heads up.

Personally, not a fan of Bendis, and I don't really read DC at the moment (except for McKeever's Teen Titans), so I wouldn't know. Johns at Marvel though, that I'd like to see. Johns is good at groups dynamic, sprawling epic stories, and my personal favorite run of his is Teen Titans before it all got mucked up in Crisises thingie. So I'd like to see him take on a New Mutants-like title. Or maybe take on Exiles and bring it back to the glorious book it once was.
