Merrick here...
The next time you turn on your XBOX, you'll receive notification of a "System Update" that'll install an entirely new dashboard/navigational/organizational "experience" into your system. This is called, simply enough, "The New XBOX Experience".
Stylistically, the throughline here = (essentially) Apple Cover Flow by way of Wii "cute"/"friendly" sensibility. An example:

Merrick here...
...with brief, Geeky snippets about material for two cool games.
First up? There's a giveaway happening over at Evil Avatar - they wanna give you five hardcover of the DEAD SPACE graphic novel. I don't own...thus haven't had a chance to play...DEAD SPACE (XBOX 360, PS3, PC), but a friend brought it over this weekend and (from what I saw) it seemed pretty damn amazing.

Greetings humans, Monki here with a really quick update from Las Vegas. I came out here to check out Midway's Gamers Day and see the line-up for the rest of the year.
I'm planning on doing a nice big story on the whole event and talk about all the different games I got to preview, but right now I want to share something with you that I find completely badass.

Greetings humans, Monki here with a report on one of the coolest assignments I've ever covered here at Ain't It Cool.
I'm sitting on a sofa at Rockstar Games. A pile of magazines sits in front of me with nothing but cover stories about Grand Theft Auto 4. Across from me is a row of arcade games. Golden Tee, some classics and a "The Warriors" arcade with 30 buttons on it. It seems that only 5 of these cabinets were made.

Greetings humans, Monki here with a pretty freakin' sweet preview to an event I'm about to head to.
Quint may get to fly to Prague and party with Shia Labeouf on the set of Transformers, but I have received the preverbal golden ticket in the video game realm. This Friday I'll be visiting Rockstar Games in New York City to get some hands-on time with Grand Theft Auto 4.

Greetings humans, Monki here with a recap of a event I was lucky enough to attend a few days ago. Electronic Arts brought me out to California to do a bit of a community event for their recently released Burnout Paradise.

I received a wide variety of videos, from the absurd to the sweet...picking a winner from the entire group was pretty difficult, but I'm happy with the way it turned out.
I'll go ahead and announce the winner now and highlight a few others I thought were fantastic.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Monki's final E For All report came in while I was having my Budapest adventure (more on that later) and now that I'm newly returned I see that it has yet to be posted, so please accept my apologies on the tardiness of getting this report to you folks. Enjoy Monki's wanderings from the event!
Greetings humans, Monki here wrapping up my experiences at the first ever E for All.

Greetings humans, Monki here with my second update from the E for All Video Games Expo in Los Angeles, California.

Show Floor Impressions!
Things pretty much kicked off the same as Thursday...slow to start and then it picked up considerably in the afternoon. Lots and lots of kiosks filled with lots and lots of people.

Greetings humans, Monki here with my first update from the E for All Video Game Conference going on right now in Los Angeles.
I'm going to try to break down my general experiences away from my actual play experience on games to give you a general idea of both the conference itself and the titles that are playable here.

Greetings humans, Monki here with an updated batch of gaming news for you!
First things first, my contest to win a Steve Wiebe autographed Wii wrapped this past weekend and I'm digging through the entries to pick out a winner. We got some fantastic stuff!
Second of all, I'm working with the format of my column, so over the next couple of weeks you may see a bit of new stuff, some vanishing old stuff, and some reworked stuff. Stick with it, just ride it out...we'll all be okay.
Have you beaten Halo 3 yet? I mean come on! It's been almost a week since release! Alright, I hope you can tear yourself away from your 360 to make it through the column. Here we go!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here.
I’m a hardcore Halo fan. I was a late-comer to X-Box, mostly because I’m not a fan of Microsoft. I’m writing this on a Mac, which is my platform of choice after suffering through Windows XP for 2 years and 95 and 98 before that.
I rented an X-Box one year during a particularly bad winter storm and decided to play Halo. After playing the campaign straight through twice over I was sold. I bought an X-Box the next month and had some amazing LAN multiplayer parties pre-XBL.

Greetings humans, Monki here with your delicious batch of gaming treats.
Don't forget, you've only got a couple more weeks to enter to win a Wii autographed by Steve Wiebe from King of Kong! I've gotten a few entries so far, but I'm hoping to get a crapload more in the next two weeks!! Send 'em in kids!
We're getting into the time period where games start piling up. So many great titles are coming out in the next few months and if you are like me and have a full time job, it's damn near impossible to get to all of them, let alone beat them completely...and I loves me some achievement points.

Greetings humans, Monki here with your weekly handful of gaming news.
This past week was an absolute perfect one for me when it comes to my life in video games. On Tuesday I got to visit one of the ultimate video game Meccas; Lord British's (Richard Garriot) Manor, and then this weekend I was honored to do some color-commentary for a video game tournament at a local library here. I'll get more into the tournament thing a bit later as it gave me some fuel for a rant.
Have you sent in your attempt to win a Wii signed by Steve Wiebe from King of Kong? You've only got a couple more weeks left to take a stab at the hardest console to get your paws on for free! Best of luck.

Greetings humans, Monki here with your weekly batch of gaming goodness.
This week marks yet another section of my wrap-up and another half-hour I dedicate to this column instead of watching "The Pick-Up Artist" on VH1. (God I love that show...it's all about Kino-Escalation) Yes, yes, I screwed up last week by not mentioning that the newest version of Metroid just hit the streets. I apologize...and to show how apologetic I am, I'm adding a new "Games You Need to Have" section to the column. These won't all be new releases, and they might still be a while out, but you should find at least five titles that you need to have in your collection.

Greetings humans, Monki here with the absolute coolest give away I've ever been involved with here on Ain't It Cool all courtesy of Picturehouse and the awesome film "The King of Kong."
Today I'm proud to announce that AICN Games will be giving away a Nintendo Wii to one lucky winner. That's right... the Wii. You STILL can't find this bastard in stores anywhere. This console has surpassed the XBox 360 as the #1 worldwide seller, even with a year handicap. How freakin' amazing is that? Not only that, but the console (and box) have been signed by hero of the year, Mr. Steve Wiebe! That's right, an autographed Wii by a famous person! A really really nice famous person at that!
